Chelsea news: Hazard reveals WHEN he will make Real Madrid decision | Football | Sport

The Belgium international has been strongly linked with Real Madrid ever since he hinted at the possibility of a transfer during the World Cup in the summer.

Hazard has since indicated that the La Liga heavyweights are the only club he will leave Chelsea for, calling them a “dream” club.

The 27-year-old’s long-term future is up in the air with only 18 months left on his current Chelsea contract.

But despite the London club’s willingness to hand Hazard a £300,000-a-week deal to turn down the lures of Madrid, the forward has yet to indicate he will put pen-to-paper.

It has been reported that Hazard will instead wait for Real Madrid to inform him whether or not they intend to launch a bid to sign him in the coming summer.

Despite reports, Los Blancos opted not to make a move for Hazard last summer but have lacked x factor in the final third since Cristiano Ronaldo left for Juventus.

And having enjoyed a strong 2018, impressing at the World Cup and providing eight goals and four assists so far this season – including seven in the Premier League, Hazard is likely to emerge as their top target.

But asked once again about his ambitions to play for Real Madrid, Hazard insists his future is not something on his mind right now – but he will confront it at the end of the campaign.

“I’m only thinking about Chelsea now,” he told Belgian broadcaster Sporza.

“The competition lasts seven or eight months, after that I’ll see what happens.

“The coach has the same football philosophy as I. He always thinks about the ball.

“How we as players think about football, that is also his way of thinking.

“If you see how Napoli play, it’s thanks to Maurizio Sarri.

“His style is now reflected in Chelsea, he also has players who fit into the system.

“So yes, we’re very happy, we play football well.”

Chelsea are unbeaten in 18 games under Sarri having yet to lose in any competition under the Italian and will hope to prolong that run against rivals Tottenham after the international break (Saturday November 24, 5.30pm).
