Fadiah Nadwa Fikri calls into question police action despite the fact that Malaysia is a democracy

KUALA LUMPUR: Lawyer Fadiah Nadwa Fikri, who is questioned about an article that allegedly interrogated the institution of the monarchy in Malaysia, says that she is "not alone".
Speaking in front of the Brickfields Police headquarters here today, Fadiah said that she had received hundreds of messages of support.
Fadiah came to the police station with her three lawyers to make her statement after police reports were filed against her.
This came after the activist Pakatan Harapan would have questioned the existence of the institution of the monarchy, saying that he was outdated and that he could no longer be accepted or defended.
Fadiah also questioned the actions of the authorities by calling him to the research. "They say it's a democracy, but the authorities can not accept the criticism and have taken away my right to speak.
"I do not try to be a hero, but I want to be together. I am not alone because I have friends. If we do not speak now, then when will we do it?
Before Fadiah arrives at the police station to interrogate at approximately 4:00 pm, about 50 activists from various organizations, including the Sosialis Malaysia Party (PSM), Suaram and the Anti-Corruption and Clientelism Center (C4) , gathered to show their support for her.
In his blog on the monarchy in his blog recently, Fadiah refers to the meeting of de facto leader PKR Anwar Ibrahim with the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, where he had kissed the hand of the ruler
His comments prompted a reaction from the Perkasa Malay defense group, which urged the police to investigate her for sedition and incite hatred towards Malaysian rulers.
