"You can definitely find cheaper bargains here and I'm hoping to find a Punjabi suit for myself as it goes with my family's theme this year," Nalini said.

Rathiga also said that palkova and ladoo were some of the sweets they would buy instead of preparing them at home.

She said these sweets were difficult to make and preferred in Brickfields.
