MIRI, July 8 – The State government has proposed the use of Sarawak Pay, a mobile system, among the private and public sectors to boost the tourism sector of the city of Miri.

Sarawak's chief minister, Datuk Patinggi's Abang Johari Openg said that Sarawak Pay was registering more private sectors to be partners with Sarawak Pay. With Sarawak Pay, they can pay at the restaurant with their mobile phone, "he told the 13th anniversary of Miri City organized by Miri City Council (MCC) last night.

In addition to Sarawak Pay, have its own city hall in line with the rapid development of the city of Miri with the state government having agreed to help the MCC to give financial assistance for build the proposed city hall.
