KOTA KINABALU: Sabah's chief minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, does not worry about a lawsuit brought by former chief minister Tan Sri Musa Aman against him and the chief of the State of Sabah, Tun Juhar Mahiruddin, Monday, July 9. He declined to comment on the trial, in which Musa asks the court to declare him the chief minister in place of Mohd Shafie, and leave it to the court to decide.
"I am not only concerned about this (lawsuit) because the state legislature has sat and the opposition had been present.
" But the constitution (Sabah) states clearly that when a person does not command the majority (deputies), he must withdraw from this particular post, "he told reporters after witnessing the delivery of a letter appointment to the new Secretary of State of Sabah today
Musa was appointed Chief Minister of Sabah on May 10. During the 14th general election, the majority of the population was in the majority, but two days later, Mohd Shafie was appointed chief minister after some of Musa's deputies changed allegiance. -Bernama
