Monster Hunter World is expected to arrive on PC soon, and some players already have access to the game. Unfortunately, it appears that the previously released system requirements are a bit misleading.
Resetera's user, FluffyQuack, reported that his gaming platform was struggling to make MHW work at maximum 1440p graphics settings. Not even near 60fps despite the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080, 16GB of RAM and an Intel Core i7-4790K processor.
The highest settings are only 44fps, which is 50fps if Capcom Volume Rendering is set to "Quality". This new option simply makes it look hazy and foggy in the distance, which is likely to integrate with Monster Hunter's aesthetic. Unfortunately, the graphics performance feels a little bit.
Fortunately, the game can reach 60 fps with the graphics at the second highest level. Although this news may be disappointing for those who already use the GTX 1080, they thought that they would have more than enough power to turn the game around.
Right now, it seems a GTX 1080 Ti is the bare minimum to maximize the game; or just live with 1080p instead of 1440p.
Interestingly, MHW would not have a ceiling on framerates either. With preset options at 30, 60 and unlimited fps. Something that many console ports miss, and is a welcome addition to the game.
