OPPO to launch Find X in Malaysia this month

Oh snap. We have just learned that the OPPO Find X – the most exciting smartphone we have seen in 2018 so far – will be launched in Malaysia in two weeks. Yes, it is the phone with the motorized sliding camera that appears.

According to the email we received, OPPO's flagship product will arrive in Malaysia on July 17, 2018, the following Tuesday. Beyond that, nothing else has been revealed, but we will keep you informed when we learn more.

In case you missed the launch of Find X, the Find X is exciting for several reasons. The first, of course, is the breathtaking camera system of the handset.

Yes, if you look on the paper, the 16MP + 20MP dual camera at the back and 25MP selfie shooter forward is not something we do not have. have never seen before. But, because OPPO wanted to push for a front of the screen, they had to hide the camera. Rather than pushing them into a tiny notch as we have seen so many others, OPPO has actually developed a motorized upper section of the phone that will slide at the touch of a button and reveal the front and rear cameras. Yes, we have already seen the NEX vivo with a motorized front camera, but this sounds more like an amateur school project than this one. OPPO took a step further with a level of polish that I did not think possible for a first-generation device. In addition, the Find X does not have a fingerprint scanner, so OPPO has developed a 3D face unlock function that is reminiscent of the identification of Apple's face on the iPhone X. And yes, it is also hidden in the motorized section next to the selfie camera, so you get that cool James Bond-y atmosphere when you unlock your apparatus.

The rest of the OPPO Find X is your high-end standard flagship deal. Well, with the exception of this magnificent, virtually without bezel, 6.4 inches double curved AMOLED at the front. Yes, it only pushes a resolution of 1080p, but wow is a spectator.

Inside, the phone has a Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It is also powered by a 3730 mAh battery that supports OPPO's VOOC Flash Charge fast charge solution.

Unfortunately, it does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack, water resistance and a very skinny version of Android 8.1 Oreo.

Honestly, I am very curious to know how much OPPO will cost this phone. They are already well known for slipping some pretty high price tags on their self-centered midrange handsets, so I wonder what kind of price they will hit on this revolutionary new device.

In Europe, the phone sells for EUR999, which converts directly to around RM4,725. This is a lot of money for a smartphone but it is worth noting that phones in Europe tend to be more expensive. For example, in China, Find X only costs 4,999 CNY, or just over RM3,055 if you convert directly.

I am also curious to know when they will launch the Find X Lamborghini Edition smartphone with the new VOOC Super Business that can charge the phone's 3,400 mAh in just 35 minutes. Can you imagine a world where you can fully charge your phone – by 0% – in just half an hour?

If you can not already tell, I'm really happy with this phone. But what about you? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
