ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani Qaisar Khan won the bronze medal at the Judo Championship of the Hong Kong Asian Cup of Cadets to improve his chances of qualifying for the Youth Olympic Games. Qaiser beat opponents of Hungary, Iran and Malaysia on their way to the quarter-finals. In the quarter-finals, Qaisar faced Chinese Taipei judoka Lin Sheng-Kai, 13th in the world. The Pakistani judoka won the fight by ippon. In the semifinal, Qaisar faced the world no. 8, Hungarian judoka, Veg Zsombor. Qaisar gave him a hard time and got a gold score, but unfortunately lost by half a point against his most experienced rival.
