GEORGE TOWN: The body of a third victim of yesterday's landslide on the construction site of the Jalan Bukit Kukus twin road at Paya Terubong was found and found today at around 1:30 am

The body of Khin Aye Khaing, 33, was found not far from where the second body was found. Aye Khaing's body was identified by her husband, a worker on the construction site.

Deputy Search and Rescue (SAR) Commander Mohd Tarmizi Mat Jaafar, part of the Penang Fire and Rescue Service, said that Aye Khaing's body was found by dog sniffer K-9.

"It took us an hour to get the body out of the debris because the landslide there was serious," he told Bernama.

He added that the body had been sent to Penang Hospital for post mortem examination.

Yesterday, two bodies were found: the Indonesian Samsul Asman, aged 19, and the Bangladeshi Attrul, 35 years old.

The landslide at 15:56 left three injured and at least ten people buried alive.

Tarmizi said that the RS team had been assisted by the relief and relief special team in Malaysia and that the operation was going on for the remaining victims.

He added that the sniffer dogs had found another conspiracy on the scene, meant to be the location of the remaining victims, and that efforts were being made to reach them.

The fire and rescue service of Penang had identified several plots on the site of the construction project here, where the victims were allegedly buried.

Saadon Moktar, its director, said the plots had been detected with the help of the K-9 unit.

"The search for victims is concentrated on several of the plots and we hope to find victims who are still buried in the debris.

"We will continue the SAR operation and our men will be assigned according to a service list. Despite several difficulties, we hope to be able to immediately recover all buried victims, "he said.
