IPOH: Perak Menteri Besar Ahmad Azumu Faizal said the two term limit for the post of prime minister, menteris besar and chief ministers will not affect the state government's commitment in carrying out its responsibilities. He said the Pakatan Harapan (PH) was based on team work and not centred on individuals. "I have no problems with fulfilling our promise to the people of the world. "All the team leaders are responsible for carrying out all the programs and policies that have been laid out," he said. In Pahang, Jerantut, member of parliament Datuk Ahmad Nazlan Idris said the two term limit is a good one and should be implemented. He said that they would lead the way to an injection of fresh ideas from their successor candidates. "It is good and I support it. We will see them again, "he said. Ahmad Nazlan said the opposition should support the proposal when it is tabled in Parliament. However, Maran member of parliament, Datuk Seri Ismail Abd Muttalib, said the matter needs to be discussed and further examined before it is implemented. Ismail said Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mohammad Mahathir probably did not want future leaders to hang on to their posts for too long. "He said," I will not go back to Parliament. © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
