Xiaomi has announced via its official MIUI forum that its Poco F1 smartphone will soon receive Widevine L1 standard support via an OTA update. The company also stated that they would be adding Widevine L1 support to its upcoming MIUI Beta ROM for the device. The addition of this will enable the Poco F1 to stream HD video content from paid video content providers like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
Alongside, the addition of the standard, the company will also be fixing the notification icon issue causing users to not see icons of certain apps in their status bar.
