It appears that ASUS isn’t the only brand who is currently working on a AMD Radeon RX 590 Polaris refresh graphics card. PowerColor, the China-based GPU maker, recently had what is believed to be a press render of its own Radeon RX 590 Red Devil graphics card leaked online.

If the image is to believed, PowerColor’s iteration of its upcoming card looks like it is recycling the design from its own heavily customised Radeon RX 580 Red Devil Golden Sample graphics card. The card features a dual-fan cooling solutions, along with a heatsink that takes up three expansion slots.
Beyond those details, there’s still not a lot of details to ride on about the Polaris refresh GPU, save for a supposed synthetic benchmark found on UL’s 3DMark page. However, and as luck would have it, the initial performance numbers of the Radeon RX 590 GPU has popped up on the benchmark listing of the Final Fantasy XV official score board.
Specifically, the card’s performance numbers only starts appearing from the 2160x1440p resolution section onwards, and is not even recorded in the resolutions lower than that. A barely concealed hint of the card’s supposed default display resolution, we reckon.
AMD’s Radeon RX 590 was initially believed to be launched as part of a rumoured Radeon RX 600 lineup. This will also be the third time that AMD has refreshed its mid-range Polaris GPU architecture. The first iteration having first launched in 2016 as the Radeon RX 400 series. The new Polaris refresh is also expected to be built using AMD’s new Zen+ CPU architecture, which is based on its new 12nm LP die lithography.
