SINGAPORE – The three glasses of amber liquid on the table looked – and tasted – about the same.
It was brewed at Newater, the recycled water brand of Singapore
. The special beer, Newbrew, was specially prepared by the national water agency PUB and produced locally. The Brewerkz Restaurant and Brewery commemorate the 10th edition of Singapore International Water Week (SIWW), a global water conference that began Sunday (July 8th).
That evening, reporters were invited to sample three unlabeled glasses of beer – Natural Beer, Newbrew and Pure Water Brew, a United States beer made using recycled water.
