GEORGE TOWN: Two groups of rival protesters staged a screaming match at Komtar, with Vice Minister of State II Dr. P. Ramasamy the subject of their dispute.
Participants of a "pro-Ramasamy" rally organized by Tamil non Governmental organizations (NGOs) began to gather at 13h, while anti-Ramasamy protesters of Muslim NGOs rallied after prayers Friday at 2:50 pm
Both groups began to shout at the entrance to Komtar, while
Police intervened when someone was heard screaming a provocative statement and asked the two groups to stop.
The group "anti-Ramasamy" then handed a memorandum to the assistant of Dr. Ramasamy Resignation of Prime Minister II for the authorities to investigate alleged links with the Liberation Tigers of the Tamil Eelam (LTTE), a militant group formerly based in Sri Lanka.

A number of police reports were also filed against Dr. Ramasamy.
