MIRI: Some 200 people from various indigenous groups protested here about a proposed amendment to the Sarawak Land Code that they believe will erode their customary tenure rights.
Armed with banners and posters, they walked the streets of the city and shouted slogans. Among the groups present were the Baram Protection Action Committee, Tanah Hak Bangsa Sarawak, Save Sarawak Rivers and the Society for the Rights of Indigenous Peoples of Sarawak

He urged all indigenous MPs to reject the amendment.
