964 Porsche 911 Light Restoration by Singer and Williams

This year's Goodwood Festival of Speed was the # 39, one of the largest ever recorded. There were a number of attractions at the British event, not just local automakers. One of the highlights was the collaboration between Californian company Singer Vehicle Design and Williams Advanced Engineering, the technology arm of the Williams Formula 1 team. This is an exploration into lightweight design, using a Porsche 911 964.
Toyota Supra dynamic debut at 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed
Enlarge photo [19659006] Toyota s & # 39 is presented at the event with an example of production close to its fifth generation A90 Supra sports cars. We expect the production version to debut at the Detroit auto show in 2019 next January. However, most of the design can be deduced, despite Toyota's attempts to conceal it with Toyota Gazoo Racing camouflage.
BMW took advantage of the event to unveil an M2 concept car with current and potential improvements to the M Performance Parts range Most upgrades were aimed at reducing the weight of the M2. In fact, the concept would have been 132 lbs lighter than a serial version of the BMW M's entry-level car.
One of the stars of British firms in Goodwood was the McLaren P1 GT from Lanzante. The car, commissioned by a buyer in the Middle East, is a spiritual successor to the F1 GT Longtail, of which only three have been made, including the prototype still in McLaren's possession. In real Longtail, the Lanzante P1 GT has a longer rear section, made by a new diffuser projecting to the rear
Another British manufacturer of exotic sports cars, Noble, used the Goodwood Festival of Speed to unveil its new M500 sports car. The car is a little brother of the Noble M600, and it comes pack the 3.5-liter twin turbocharged V6 from vehicles like the Ford GT and the F-150 Raptor, set to deliver 550 horsepower. No additional performance numbers have been released unfortunately as the development is not complete.
The Ariel Track Car Specialist is introduced with his fourth-generation Atom machine. The latest version, aptly called the Atom 4, features in base version the same engine as the Honda Civic Type R, but with higher horsepower.
Nissan was there with its 710 horsepower GT-R50. The car is a collaboration between Nissan and Italdesign, with Nissan using it to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the GT-R and Italdesign's use to celebrate its own 50th anniversary. From the outset we will tell you that the GT-R50 is not the next generation of the R36 GT-R, although we do not eliminate some design elements that would make it on a future Godzilla. Interestingly, Nissan says that it will build a small race if the demand is sufficient. We are not sure that this will be the case, as Nissan says the asking price will be more than a million dollars.
We will end this list with one of the most popular cars in Goodwood: the V-8 Cygnet city car built by the Q by Aston Martin Customization Department. The Cygnet is a rebadged Toyota iQ Aston Martin sold earlier in the decade, with a wheezy inline-4. This one is packing a 430 horsepower V-8 out of the previous generation Aston Martin Vantage.
