PORT DICKSON: A committee will be set up today to investigate the death of a participant in the Port Dickson International Triathlon.
Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, Minister of Youth and Sports, said that the Secretary General of the Ministry, Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali.
"The committee will consider, among other things, any violation of conditions or laws," he told reporters.
He expressed his condolences to the family of 39-year-old Thram Wei Wong, who drowned while participating in the 750m swim event at the International Triathlon.
Earlier, Syed Saddiq met with Thram's family members at the Forensic Unit of Port Dickson Hospital. – Bernama
