Rafizi Ramli, vice-president of PKR to be vice-president
KUALA LUMPUR: Rafizi Ramli today launched his campaign to become vice-president of PKR with eight colistiers, declaring that Anwar Ibrahim would need a team "100% loyal to him" to become prime minister.
He called for the revival of the spirit of Reformasi on which the party had been founded, and enumerated four reasons for its decision to challenge:
* Anwar would need people eager to d & # 39; to disagree with him and to comply with the decisions made
] * the need to strengthen Pakatan Harapan and win more parliamentary seats and more states * to maintain the living Reformasi and PKR as a party of the people * to improve the well-being of PKR members.
PKR holds its party elections bet between August and September. Anwar declared his candidacy for the presidency of the party.
Rafizi, a former Pandan MP, introduced his eight colleagues, who had already been announced earlier on an online shared campaign poster. They will compete for the 4 positions of Vice Presidents, and for the Wanita and Youth Wing leadership.
* Vice President: Nurul Izzah, Johari Abdul, William Leong and S. Kesavan * Wing of Women: Fuziah Hall PKR Youth: Akmal Nasir for Youth Leader, with Raymond Ahuar for MP [19659005] The party elections come on the 20th anniversary of the Reformasi movement that began when Anwar was fired from cabinet, expelled from Umno and jailed later.
Support to Anwar to Help Him as Prime Minister
Rafizi says that Anwar must have a team that is "100 % loyal to him "so that he could succeed Dr. Mahathir Mohamad as the eighth Prime Minister of Malaysia.
He needed people who would dare to disagree with him and accept a decision after it was made. Do not agree with Anwar and do not agree with him behind his back. Anwar must be a prime minister who receives the full support and mandate of the people and the party. Most importantly, we support the "reformasi", which can happen when Anwar becomes Prime Minister with the support of party leaders, "he said
Strengthen Pakatan Harapan and PKR
strengthen Pakatan Harapan. He said the ruling coalition could easily lose power in Putrajaya despite the defeat of Barisan Nasional on May 9.
PKR should also be strengthened because the party was perceived as weak despite the fact that it was the largest element of PH.
the party had to recruit new members and work hard to win several states including Perlis, Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu and Sarawak
"We want, in the upcoming elections, that PKR wins 70 seats."
Counter Political Appointment, Politics of Money and Feudalism
Rafizi says his third reason was to keep alive the spirit of Reformasi in the party even though PKR was now part of the government.
"We must avoid feudalism, we must denounce the culture of political appointments, monetary policy and feudalism," he said to applaud the crowds.
He cited the example of local councilor appointments, a problem that led two leaders of PKR Selangor to resign. "Do not bring this culture into this party, we will fight them until the end"
. It's a people's party. "
Starting a PKR cooperative to help members and create jobs
Rafizi said that he wanted to improve and ensure the well-being of party members, "not by"
"I want to start a PKR co-op with the ultimate goal of doing business for the benefit of members and creating jobs for them. "
Others at the event today were Abdullah Sani, MP for Kapar, Idris Ahmad, Ijok MP, Wong Chen, MP for Subang Jaya, and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Member of Parliament for Setiawangsa, who are running for a seat on the party's central executive committee.
