The mini mounts refinement as models evolve

We spent time driving the five-door Mini Cooper and the three-door Cooper S. The first, without a doubt, will continue to be the most practical proposal because of its two extra rear doors, but it is worth noting that its price is comparable to that of its three-door brother, which is About 50 units a month. The Cooper's three-cylinder engine has more than sufficient thrust capacity for all applications, while the new transmission feels better for this engine, sending fast, almost imperceptible gear changes. Also thanks to its lighter engine, it feels more agile in tight turns and has a relatively fleeting disposition compared to the Cooper S. While the Cooper S has more grunt in a straight line, I'm not convinced that it's the model maneuverability. In fact, it feels more mature to the point that it will probably appeal to someone who might consider the Volkswagen Golf GTI, but not particularly its eighteen stature.

Driving through some of the most beautiful roads in the world, it is evident that the Western Cape is endowed with a series of mostly virgin, mostly virile bitumen – perfect for exploiting the dynamic prowess of a vehicle, or any gap. Although both models have stood firm thanks to the coiled asphalt that we have submitted to them, the Cooper is the most crispy handler, the one that delivers the most of these handling attributes.

No version of John Cooper Works (JCW) is available with updates yet, but you can order a Cooper S with the JCW Sports Kit, which includes 18-inch alloy wheels, lettering of door sill and a firmer suspension. One tip, though, is not to order this package if you are worried about a suspension that is too firm that the model that I drove at launch shook the speed bumps and hollows of the road. I had to be a little old, but the firmness of this suspension was rather important.

Updates to the new Mini Cooper and Cooper S are enough to keep the range not only cool, but also able to spark more interest for

The price of the updated Mini Cooper range begins at 302,300 rand for the three-door Mini One up to 511,600 R for the three-door JCW
