Police: more than a dozen people stranded in the SeaWorld ride

SAN DIEGO – According to police, more than a dozen people are stuck in a stroll at SeaWorld in San Diego.
San Diego police told FOX5 News that about six gondolas had stopped operating Monday night after a big gale had triggered a circuit breaker on "Bayside Skyride". Authorities estimated that between 15 and 30 people were stuck, some in gondolas hanging over the water.
Firefighters in San Diego then confirmed via Twitter that 16 people were trapped. As of 10 pm PST, approximately three hours after the start of the operation, the SDFD had recovered four adults and four juveniles during eight separate rescues.
The National Weather Service said it was about 49 degrees in San Diego at the time.
