AAn actor in a haunted house at an Ohio Fair stabbed an 11-year-old boy in the foot trying to scare him.

A worker at the popular attraction 7 Floors of Hell attempted to scare the child by holding a real bowie knife, slapping his foot while stabbing the ground next to the boy, according to a police report.

The knife pierced the child’s crocodile shoes and cut off his big toe.

“He approached my son and he was holding the knife and his intentions were to scare him, but my son responded by saying, ‘That’s wrong. I’m not afraid, ”said the mother of the stabbed boy, Karen Bednarski. “I am very upset.”

The employee responsible has been identified as Christopher Pogozelski, 22, News 5 Cleveland reported.

Rodney Geffert, president of Night Scream Entertainment, owner of the 7 Floors of Hell attraction, insists the incident was accidental. “I guess he got a little too close. It was a complete accident and stung the boy’s toe, ”Geffert said.

Bednarski says she felt the incident was being swept away by staff from the 7 Floors of Hell.

“They kept saying that accidents happen, accidents happen,” said Bednarski. She also said staff initially denied her son first aid. “They told me they weren’t certified to administer first aid,” she said.

Police confiscated the knife from Pogozelski, who said he brought the gun from his home and admitted that “using the knife was not a good idea”.

Geffert says employees are not allowed to touch customers and are only allowed to use rubber knives provided by his company.

“The police took the knife and I told them very clearly, you don’t go in your vehicle and take out something like that. We just don’t do that, ”Geffert explained.

A summons was sent to Pogozelski after Bednarski decided to press charges for this incident.

Lt. Tom Walker of the Berea Police Department confirmed that Pogozelski had been charged.

“The most important thing for me is, you know, I don’t understand the mental state of this man,” Bednarski said. “There must be something wrong with him, and he shouldn’t be working in a facility like this. That’s what annoys me. “
