Even sharks go fishing.
A man fishing on a Massachusetts beach started catching a fish when a shark suddenly appeared and got caught on the line. As the animal eventually escaped, the entire incident was filmed.
Matt Pieciak was spending a day at Nauset Beach with his family last week when he and his uncle decided to throw fishing lines in the water and leave the rods in the sand, reports the Cape Cod Times.
Pieciak’s cousin, Maggie Ciarcia, told the Storyful news agency: “My uncle and cousin decided to put a few fishing rods in the water and left them in the sand while we played hole-hole. But. thinking he had a fish so I started filming. “

As he appears in the video footage that he caught a great white shark, Pieckiak told reporters he thought he caught a smaller fish. While bringing this animal back, he thinks the shark tried to grab the fish and then got stuck on the line.

Regardless, the family seems delighted to have attended the event. Ciarcia described the incident as “pretty cool all around” and said she was happy to have filmed it.
