Man died, 2 others seriously injured in Northeast Side apartment complex shooting, police say

SAINT ANTHONY – A man has died and two others are seriously injured after a shooting erupted at a Northeast Side apartment complex, San Antonio police say.

The shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Bentley’s 8000 block.

Police said a man was visiting the apartment complex for some unknown reason when he was confronted by two or three people.

Moments later gunshots erupted and a total of three men were injured in the exchange.

One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene, and two others were taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries, authorities said.

Authorities said the two parties involved may have addressed each other at the time of the shooting and it was an isolated incident. However, the motive for the shooting is still unclear.
