After Pezzola, 43, surrendered, he was ordered to be held pending a bail hearing at a later date in Washington, DC Federal prosecutors have requested that he be detained on the base “the risk of flight and the risk of danger”.
Pezzola was seen “smoking a cigar inside the Capitol building” in a video reviewed by the FBI.

The FBI confirmed Pezzola’s identity with the help of a witness, who testified that he or she knew Pezzola as “Spaz” and bragged about smashing the windows of the Capitol with a police shield before entering.

The affidavit alleges that he “illegally entered” the Capitol by smashing a window with a United States Capitol Police shield, while others instigated him.
Among other things, the statement read: “The affidavit also alleges that Pezzola and others said they killed anyone they could get their hands on, including Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Vice President Michael Pence. The affidavit alleges that within days of the event, members of the group said the group would return to Washington, DC, and kill any “m-fer” they could. “
