Man who broke into his ex-girlfriend’s California home and attacked her was killed by the woman’s mother and sister – who used golf clubs and a kitchen knife to defend her , police said.

The man, identified as 40-year-old Justin Goss, threw a large concrete pavement out the front window of the South Pasadena home on Saturday and walked inside, the Los Angeles Times reported.

He then started choking and punching his ex in the face, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

It was then that the 37-year-old’s mother and adult sister jumped into action, stabbing Goss with the knife and beating him with the golf clubs.

“They tried to remove it, and it didn’t work; he was too strong. So they had to resort to guns, ”Lieutenant Barry Hall told The Times.

Police in South Pasadena found the front window of the house smashed and heard the woman’s screams coming from inside when they responded to a domestic violence call shortly before 10 a.m., authorities said.

Goss was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment for facial injuries and released.

Her mother and sister will not face charges because “they had every right to act to defend their sister and daughter,” Hall said.
