The photo of an Illinois man wanted for violating his probation circulated on the Internet Tuesday, without the police having wanted it.

The Galesburg Police Department, in Illinois, posted a photo of Todd W. Barrick Jr., 50, and asked the public for help in locating him.

Barrick is wanted for breaking his probation for possession of methamphetamine, the department wrote on Facebook on Tuesday and on an online record show.

Still, the mugshot quickly attracted the attention of many readers for its almost strange resemblance to "Walter White," the main character of the successful AMC show, "Breaking Bad," starring Bryan Cranston.

"Brian Cranston looks tough," commented one user.

Another joke was that the police should try to search in Albuquerque, where the show is based.

On the show, White rose from a high school chemistry teacher to a ruthless drug dealer, specifically producing methamphetamine, after diagnosing stage 3 lung cancer.

The Galesburg police could not be immediately contacted to comment on the case.
