Manchester City rejected suggestions that a group of its players would ridicule Seán Cox or the Hillsborough disaster after Sunday's victory over Brighton.
On Tuesday, a video was shown showing players and Manchester City staff on a flight after the match. We see a version of the song "Come on, go, go," a song that makes fun of Liverpool's defeat by Real Madrid in last year's Champions League final and tells them that their fans are "beaten on the streets" and "victims of all this".

On April 24, Meathman Seán Cox was injured in an attack before the Champions League semifinal between Liverpool and Roma at Anfield.
Tuesday evening, a spokesman for the city said:
"The song in question, which was a regular song in the 2018/19 season, refers to the final of the Uefa Champions League 2018 in Kiev Any suggestion that the lyrics relate to Sean Cox or the tragedy Hillsborough is totally groundless. "
