Manchester United fans are delighted to see Mason Greenwood take on the role of center-forward after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made five changes to his squad to face Chelsea.

David de Gea, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford all returned in the starting XI. The biggest omission is up front, with Anthony Martial named as a replacement despite Edinson Cavani’s absence due to injury.

Daniel James is rewarded for his good form with another starting spot, leaving Greenwood and Rashford as the more natural options in the middle.

United fans are hoping to see Greenwood lead the line, although Rashford has more experience as a number nine.

Solskjaer will be delighted to welcome McTominay to midfield after sustaining an injury in United’s 4-0 win over Sociedad 10 days ago.

Although Chelsea are undefeated since Thomas Tuchel arrived at the end of January, Solskjaer has already beaten their German counterpart this season.

United got off to a perfect start to their European Group H campaign, beating Paris Saint-Germain away on Matchday 1 of the Champions League.

Solskjaer’s side remain unbeaten away for over a year in the Premier League and are hoping for another positive result at Stamford Bridge.
