Mandalorian’s Gina Carano speaks out on social media reaction to her conservative tweets

Gina Carano spoke about the reaction of the Star Wars community to her conservative, anti-mask tweets amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The 38-year-old Mandalorian star, who came under fire after criticizing Democrats for adhering to coronavirus safety protocols in November, spoke to YouTuber Drunk 3PO about his controversial social media presence at the end of the month latest.

“ People have to be okay with having conversations, ” she told the host. “With difficult conversations, with different opinions. What is wrong with having a different opinion?

Gina did not explain how the CDC asked the American people to wear masks to help stop the spread of COVID-19. As of Wednesday, there were 381K people dead in the United States from COVID-19.

She continued, “ Why does everyone have to go straight to demoralizing because maybe they just didn’t think like you? ”

The actress also noted that she was not discouraged by criticism and stayed tuned to prevent them from controlling Twitter and other social media platforms.

“ My whole take on this is that I’ve seen people getting bullied by Twitter from both sides, ” the MMA veteran explained. “ I don’t like harassment, and if I don’t stay present, which I don’t necessarily even want to stay there so often, I want to make art, art is my passion, but if I don’t not stay present then the others win.

She continued, “ Other people gain by bullying people off platforms and there needs to be a more balanced platform. ”

Insisting that she will not be silenced, the Texas-born artist pointed out that ‘a lot of people don’t mind’ her Twitter presence and that she chooses to focus on her fans .

“I put out fires in people. I don’t know why, ” she said just weeks after sharing a sneaky meme of two people putting masks over their eyes like blindfolds.

At the time, many of Carano’s 580,700 Twitter followers were outraged and tweeted that she should be removed from the Disney + Star Wars spinoff series.

After her last interview, people took to the platform again to share their thoughts on not wanting ‘racist transphobic holes in The Mandalorian’.

Numerous tweets highlight how his tweets promoting hateful opinions and disinformation conflict with The Walt Disney Company’s support for Black Lives Matter and the recent statement by Disney CEO Bob Chapek condemning the violent act of rioters on Capitol Hill American.

A Twitter user suggested Chapek examine how Carano had ‘shared dangerous conspiracy theories, treated the pandemic as a hoax and been openly transphobic’, which they said ‘didn’t seem very consistent’ ‘to its brand.

Another tweeted that “ she clearly isn’t afraid of being fired by Disney – and I think that says a lot not just about her, but Disney’s complicity as well. ”

Carano had previously been called in September for putting “ beep / bop / boop ” in her profile, apparently mocking trans people who put her next to their name.

Another fan, @alderaansben, added: ‘It’s more than political differences. It spits out hatred and violent and extremist ideals, and aligns itself with white supremacists, ” #FireGinaCarano added.
