Mandy Moore, 36, reveals anxiety she felt when she got pregnant after years of struggling with fertility: ‘I held my breath for up to 12 weeks’
Mandy Moore has spoken candidly about finding out she was pregnant last summer while suffering from endometriosis.
“ Because of this problem with my uterus, I was very reluctant to believe it and stock it up, ” she told Romper. “I kind of held my breath for up to 12 weeks.
The 36-year-old This Is Us actress is currently expecting a son from her second husband Taylor Goldsmith, whom she married in 2018.

She posed a storm for the magazine in a series of plush outfits that helped her highlight her round belly.
Her outfits included an off-the-shoulder white blouse and a sparkling royal purple maternity dress as well as a cherry red kaftan.
Mandy found out she was pregnant as a result of a fertility struggle that involved “ ovulation tests, all that, ” she revealed.
When a fertility specialist informed her of the possibility that she might have endometriosis, she was ready to face it.

“ I was totally ready to have surgery and repair my uterus and hopefully get rid of the endometriosis, if it was there, ” she said.
In fact, after trying to conceive for a while, ‘It was good to have a plan and know, OK, well, that’s why I haven’t been pregnant yet.’
Mandy, who is also a singer, visited a fertility specialist before the scheduled surgery and was told she was ovulating.
However, at the same appointment, she was warned that due to the uterine issues she was facing, she was unlikely to get pregnant.

“So I was like, okay, whatever. There you go… ”She ended up getting pregnant completely by surprise.
“I guess I understand why doctors tell you, ‘Oh, just try for a year, and then if nothing happens, you can start some sort of investigation,’ she says.
“ But I was like, man, I wish I knew before. It would have been a game-changer if I had had this information, ”Mandy explained with hindsight.

Mandy broke the news of her pregnancy in September with an Instagram photo of herself and her husband stroking her bump.
“ Baby Boy Goldsmith is coming in early 2021, ” the This Is Us actress revealed to more than four million Instagram followers.
Mandy, who was previously married to Ryan Adams from 2009 to 2016, married Taylor in late 2018 in her backyard.
