Diego Maradona’s lawyer and agent Matias Morla has called for an investigation into the time it took for an ambulance to arrive at the home of the Argentine legend.

Six ambulances have reportedly arrived at Country Club San Andres, a private residential estate in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, where Maradona had resided since leaving hospital two weeks ago after brain surgery, but attempts to revive him have failed. .
In a statement posted on social media, Morla said that according to the report from the San Isidro District Attorney’s Office, the ambulance took “over half an hour” to get to the house, which he described as “criminal idiocy” and called for action.
“This fact cannot be overlooked and I will request an investigation to examine it until the end,” added Morla.

Thousands of Argentines honored Maradona on Thursday during a public vigil held at the presidential palace of Casa Rosada in Buenos Aires.

Maradona’s coffin was covered with the flag of the country as well as the jerseys of Argentina and Boca.
