Mariah Carey claims to have said nothing in her quote on Jennifer Lopez, who has since become a meme.
It all began in the early 2000s, when a paparazzi member asked Carey about the star with three threats. She answered pointblank: "I do not know her." The shadow occurred at a time when there was a split between the singer "Hero" and the artist "I am Real".
In a new interview with ForkCarey insists that the comment was not conceived as a diss.
"I was really trying to say something nice or say nothing at all, I really had to," she notes.
As for the answer to his now iconic quote, Carey adds, "I'm trying to stay out of this because you can not drown in that." I do not know how people read comments while time, and then survive. "
The 48-year-old actress has no problem embracing her diva image, noting, "I mean, look, it's part of me, if you're going to dress up and do a show, why do not you just to have fun and go? "
Although she claims to have tried to show her more realistic personality, Carey adds that she finally gave in to the diva's lifestyle.

Carey seems to be singing a different song nowadays with regard to Lopez. In 2016, the mother of two children was again interviewed about the 49-year-old artist while she was Watch what's going on live with Andy Cohen, and how her diva mate claimed that they had actually met.
"Apparently, I'm forgetful because I do not remember the fact that it was just like:" Hi, I'm such. " And then, continue, "Carey argued." If I have never had a conversation with you and someone asks me questions about you, I would say, "I do not know him, but he has look cool. "
"Does she look cool?" Cohen asked.
"I do not know her, what should I say?" Carey responded, not mentioning Lopez's name during the conversation.
