Marianne Williamson, self-taught and former congressional candidate who failed in her presidential campaign, is now virtually assured of a place in the first round of Democratic debates next month.
Williamson has met both Criteria of the Democratic National Committee criteria to qualify for the debates: Survey and fundraising. That's after a poll released Thursday by the University of Monmouth showed him 1% – this is the third poll to do this year, thus meeting the DNC's low qualification criteria.

Williamson joins Joe Biden, Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Julian Castro, Tulsi Gabbard, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, Beto O'Rourke, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Andrew Yang , within the group of candidates who met at once. practically guaranteed to reach the stage of the first debate. The debates will be televised on the television channels NBC and Telemundo. They will also be broadcast on MSNBC.
In Thursday's poll in Monmouth, Biden is leading the Democratic squad, with 33 percent of Democrat voters and Democrats nationwide saying it's their choice for the nomination. Sanders is second at 15%, followed by Harris at 11% and Warren at 10%. Buttigieg is at 6%, the last candidate at 5% or higher.
Biden, Harris and Warren all saw a slight increase in their support from an April survey in Monmouth, while Sanders and Buttigieg both showed a slight decline. All support changes are within the error margin of the survey.
The Monmouth University survey was conducted from May 16 to 20, among 334 independent Democratic voters and a democratic tendency. The margin of error is plus or minus 5.4 percentage points.
