A trio of election analysts have claimed they found flawed numbers in the manual recount of ballots cast by contractors hired by the Arizona Senate in the 2020 Maricopa County election.
“The gaps are so big they can’t just be dismissed,” said Larry Moore, retired founder of Boston-based Clear Ballot Group and a third of the cross-examination team.
“The reality is they just made up numbers,” he added, referring to Cyber Ninjas, the Florida-based firm that heads the county audit. Arizona’s most populous.
The manual tally of approximately 2.1 million ballots in the 2020 Maricopa County election was commissioned by the GOP-led Arizona Senate, led by President Karen Fann, to generate a comprehensive report “forensic audit”. State Senate contractors presented their findings on September 24, including a recount that confirmed President Joe Biden’s victory over former President Donald Trump.
But they also raised a number of concerns about the way the election was administered. Following a referral, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich asked Maricopa County to keep documents related to the 2020 election for investigation and possible litigation. Trump and his allies say there was election fraud, although the audit found no solid evidence. Arizona Governor Doug Ducey was also shot dead the right calls for decertification.
Moore’s team, which includes data analyst for the Arizona Republican Party and another retired Clear Ballot Group executive, cites figures in Arizona Senate Collaborative Report Randall Pullen, on the Senate Machine Count and determined that Cyber Ninjas’ Hands Count was nearly 16,000 lower. 40 ballots out of 1,600 ballot boxes.
ELECTION ANALYSIS IN ARIZONA FINDS GOP VECTORS DISENCHANT BY TRUMP HELPS BIDEN WIN
“A difference of 15,692 ballots when the manual Ninja ballot count is subtracted from the Senate machine’s count,” White’s team published in a report titled “Maricopa Hoax: The Ninjas Made Up the Numbers” .
The experts said in their report: “In short, with this huge gap, any discussion of the vote count – including Biden’s gain of 99 votes and Trump’s loss of 261 votes – is meaningless. “
Moore is a Democrat with experience in over 200 election audits. He’s teamed up with former Clear Ballot co-executive Tim Halvorsen, who describes himself as an independent, and Benny White, a Pima County Republican data analyst who has experience in dozens of years. audits, he told the Washington Examiner in June.
White told the Washington Examiner on Friday that he contacted Brnovich to “examine the facts, not the hysteria” after the state attorney last week said he would investigate the findings of the audit. Maricopa in response to a letter from Fann.
White also said he sent his findings to Democratic Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, who sharply criticized the state Senate audit.
Fann criticized the outside team’s analysis, describing their findings as “a lie bordering on the arsonist”.
“Are they saying Trump won? “She asked when contacted by the Arizona Republic for comment.
The Senate Speaker argues that the election audit was conducted by credible entities, despite criticism that Cyber Ninjas had no prior experience with election audits, and says the review was intended to influence legislation to improve the integrity of elections.
The Arizona Supreme Court dismissed the state Senate’s appeal on September 14 to evade compliance with public document requests regarding its audit of the 2020 elections in Maricopa County. American Oversight, a left-wing watchdog suing for the release of audit records, filed a contempt motion on September 23 for “non-production of records” by the Senate, even after Fann asked Cyber Ninjas to make all its files related to the audit available.
White, who claims the company “makes up its own numbers,” said once all of the documents were released, a “real Ninja Process Audit” could be done.
“Senator Fann must release the Ninja’s findings,” bipartisan analysts wrote on Friday. “Now, with the Arizona Supreme Court upholding the Court of Appeals ruling, it must comply – or be charged with contempt.”
