The 36-year-old lifestyle guru cradled her pregnant belly by announcing that she is expecting again with her husband Takumi Kawahara.

“I used to be a perfectionist,” she said, “but it became difficult to maintain that standard after having my kids. So many things were beyond my control.

And while she hopes to teach people to value what you have in your home and to clear the clutter for clarity, her path to finding joy in life hasn’t been easy.

“I hope my openness to the subject helps others calm down to impossible standards,” Kondo said. “I gave up on perfectionism some time ago!

While her 2020 book tour for Joy at Work has been canceled due to the coronavirus, she has looked into what she knows best and practiced self-care.
