Marilyn Manson denies abuse allegations by ex-fiancée Evan Rachel Wood

Marilyn Manson denies the abuse allegations. The musician took to Instagram on Monday night to respond to claims made by ex-fiancee Evan Rachel Wood and several other women earlier today.

“Obviously, my art and my life have been the subject of controversy for a long time,” Manson wrote. “But these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality.”

Manson said: “My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners.”

“Regardless of how – and why – others now choose to distort the past, it is the truth,” he added.

In an Instagram post on Monday morning, Wood claimed that Manson, who she started dating in 2007 and got engaged to in 2010, had groomed and abused her during their relationship, which began in love. age of 19 and 38.

“My abuser’s name is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson. He started grooming me when I was a teenager and abused me horribly for years,” Wood said. “I was brainwashed and manipulated.”

“I have finished living in fear of reprisals, slander or blackmail,” she continued. “I am here to denounce this dangerous man and call on the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins more lives. I stand alongside the many victims who will no longer be silent.”

Wood also shared screenshots from his Instagram story of posts by Manson’s other accusers, all of whom have said they suffer from PTSD due to their alleged experience with the musician. Ashley Walters and Ashley Lindsay Morgan claimed to have suffered from sleep deprivation, while Sarah McNeilly alleged that Manson “threatened to hit me in the face with a baseball bat”.

Following Wood’s post, many stars took to social media to share their support and solidarity with the actress, including Rose McGowan, Selma Blair, Mara Wilson and Josh Gad.

Manson’s label Loma Vista Recordings said in a statement on Monday that they would no longer work with him.

“In light of today’s troubling allegations by Evan Rachel Wood and other women naming Marilyn Manson as their attacker, Loma Vista will stop promoting her current album further, effective immediately,” the statement said. “Due to these worrying developments, we have also decided not to work with Marilyn Manson on future projects.”

ET has also learned that Shudder, the horror genre streaming platform, has pulled Manson’s next episode in their horror anthology series “Creepshow”.
