‘Saved by the Bell’ stars Mario Lopez and Tiffani Thiessen have shown their support for co-star Dustin Diamond as he battles cancer.

Lopez, 47, said on Instagram that he contacted Diamond, 44, after learning of his diagnosis on Thursday.

“Pray for him and his family and for a speedy recovery. God protects you.”

Meanwhile, Thiessen, 46, posted a photo of Diamond on her Instagram Story and wrote, “Thinking of you Dustin.

Discussions about a split between Diamond and the cast of “Saved by the Bell” have swirled for years. Diamond’s 2009 book didn’t portray his co-stars in a positive light, and he was subsequently absent from a 2015 popular reunion on “The Tonight Show” as well as Peacock’s recent reboot of the show. .

In 2019, show star Mark-Paul Gosselaar admitted he hadn’t spoken to Diamond in 25 years.

Diamond’s team confirmed her cancer diagnosis days after being hospitalized for general pain and discomfort. Her family has a history of cancer, including her mother, who died of breast cancer.

Dustin’s team did not disclose the star’s type of cancer, although a report from TMZ says he is in stage 4 and Diamond is undergoing chemotherapy.
