Mark Consuelos must have had a convincing argument to win back Kelly Ripa!
The 22-year-old married in Las Vegas in 1996, but the state of their relationship was very difficult 24 hours earlier.
At an appearance on Wednesday on Watch what's going on live with Andy CohenConsuelos, 47, answered a question from a fan about the fact that he and Ripa, 48, had broken up the week before their wedding.
"We both had to meet and make an appearance Live With Regis and Kathie Lee. We were looking for the queen of the special Mother's Day day and when we were together she did not want to talk to me and it drove me crazy, "he said of Ripa. "So I followed her to Central Park, and then we went home and got married the next day."
That's right, the two men were reconciled the night before their passage in the alley.
"It was not a big break!" Insisted Consuelos.
Ripa opened for the first time about the brief split of last summer on a podcast. At the time, she said, "Just before we got married, we broke up. We broke up and we found ourselves the day before we fled. Yes, we escaped. We went to Vegas and got married.
