Mark Halperin signs a new sales contract

Veteran political journalist Mark Halperin signed an agreement to publish a new book – the first for him since his professional world collapsed after several women accused him of bad sexual conduct in 2017.

Regan Arts is expected to announce Monday the publication of the book, "How to defeat Trump: the best American political strategists on what to do, "POLITICO Playbook reported on Sunday.

The book, due out in November, is Halperin's first major project since his career was destroyed after several women, who worked with Halperin while at ABC News, claimed to have sexually harassed them, had them greased, squeezed his genitals against their bodies and made inappropriate advances.

After these reports, almost two years ago, the former MSNBC political analyst and co-author of the political book "Game Change" apologized in a statement, claiming that he was " deeply sorry for the pain and anguish caused by my past actions. " Although he acknowledged that he "had established relationships with women with whom I had worked," he denied any undesirable physical interaction.

At that time, HBO and Penguin Press / Random House had canceled their plans for the "Game Change" projects, a miniseries on the 2016 presidential election that had to rely on Halperin's book and John Heilemann. Halperin has also lost its success on MSNBC, NBC and Showtime.

Halperin has reappeared in recent months by writing his own newsletter, "Wide World of News by Mark Halperin", resurfaced on Twitter and appearing on SiriusXM with Michael Smerconish.

Halperin interviewed more than 75 major Democratic strategists.
