Schiff convened the hearing to consider what he called the "disturbing findings" of Volume 1 of Mueller's report. This volume focused on allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian authorities during the 2016 campaign.

"Volume 1 of the report describes systematic and systematic efforts by Russia to interfere in the 2016 elections for the benefit of Donald Trump," Schiff said.
