The joke referred to a page of "Frequently Asked Questions" posted on the Ocasio-Cortez website suggesting that the Green New Deal, a resolution she was presenting this month with Senator Ed Markey, D-Mass. , Would require the elimination of air travel and cows. Meadows, the chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, made these comments alongside Representative Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, at a segment of the event organized by the US Conservative Union and titled "Marketing Marxism: nothing new in the Green New Deal ".
