But first, the 19-year-old girl, nine months pregnant, decided to stop in a house in Chicago to pick up a stroller and baby clothes, the police said.

Ochoa-Lopez was strangled with a cable and her unborn baby forcibly removed from her belly, said Detective Deputy Chief Brendan Deenihan. The baby is hospitalized in a serious condition.

Before the disappearance of Ochoa-Lopez, she made a call to mothers on a Facebook group called "Help A Sister Out". She needed help finding a double stroller for her toddler and a new baby on the way, according to the messages.

The high school student wrote that she was jobless and lacking money, and that she was willing to buy, exchange or simply accept a donation.

A missing pregnant woman was found dead. Her baby was forcibly removed from her belly, police say

A woman offered her new baby clothes and other unused items and asked Ochoa-Lopez to send her a message in private.

The two women were not unknown and Ochoa-Lopez had already bought him other baby items, the police said.

The woman was one of three people arrested in the house where her body was found. Two were charged with murder and other crimes and one for concealment of a crime, police said.

The suspects include 46-year-old Clarisa Figueroa, who reportedly took her to her home, and her 24-year-old daughter, Desiree, who, according to the police, confessed to taking part in the murder.

"The words really can not express how disgusting and deeply troubling these claims are," said Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson.

An atrocious search for answers

For three weeks, the anxious family members of Ochoa-Lopez looked for him.

They turned to the local church for help in preparing leaflets and communicating with the community at large.

"I had to hire a private investigator and he was the one who discovered the location of my daughter because he went on this page (Facebook) and found all the information, that he communicated to the police. However, they took too long his father, Arnulfo Ochoa, said Thursday at a press conference.

On the very day of Ochoa-Lopez's disappearance, the Chicago Fire Department had received a call about a distressed newborn from home where the young mother's body had finally been found, have announced the authorities.

During the three weeks she was missing, the baby had already been forcibly removed from her womb and had been hospitalized.

The baby was taken to the hospital that day with a woman who claimed to be the mother, according to fire department spokeswoman Larry Langford.

All the while, Figueroa would have claimed that it was her baby.

A break in the case

The break in the case took place on May 7, police said. A friend of the victim told investigators Facebook's exchanges with Figueroa before his disappearance.

When the investigators questioned Figueroa, she denied that the victim came to her home on April 23, but admitted to having met her in the past.

When officers from the crime lab raided the house, they found bleach and a cleaning solution, as well as a trash bin hidden in an area where they found the victim's body, police said.

"In the house, and they find remains of burned clothes, they find traces of blood on the carpet of the living room, traces of blood in the hallway, traces of blood on the bathroom floor", said the police.

After finding DNA evidence and interviewing those present at home, three people were charged, the authorities said.

An admission and questions

The detectives went to Figueroa's house last week after learning of Facebook's contact between the two women. But the Ochoa-Lopez family said they informed the authorities of his interaction with the woman much earlier.

Desiree Figueroa told them that his mother was in the hospital for leg problems. She later revealed that her mother had just given birth, the authorities said.

Suspicious detectives assigned hospital records and began collecting DNA samples from the baby, his biological father and Clarisa Figueroa.

On Tuesday, with a search warrant, the detectives discovered bleach and cleaning solutions at home, as well as traces of burnt clothing and blood on the living room floors, the bathroom and a hallway, according to Deenihan.

Ochoa-Lopez's body was found in a trash can in the yard, along with the cable used to strangle it and other evidence. Desiree Lopez told the detectives that she had helped her mother to strangle her, said Deenihan.

The two women were charged with a charge of first degree murder and an aggravated battery charge of a child under 13 years old, announced the police.

Piotr Bobak, Clarisa Figueroa 's boyfriend, has been charged with a charge of concealing the death of a person and a charge of concealment. 39, one death by homicide.

The reason for the murder is being investigated, but the director said he felt the suspect wanted to raise the child for his.

Ray Sanchez and Andrea Diaz of CNN contributed to this report.
