The X-Men could have a unique twist when Marvel Studios unveil its inevitable restart. Kevin Feige and co. Full Circle Cinema has learned that people of color would represent both Magneto and Professor X in the MCU.
If this change will not change much for Charles Xavier since he was born in New York into a wealthy family, this could bring Marvel Studios to take liberties with the original Erik Lehnsherr. In the pages of Marvel Comics, Magneto was born in the 1920s into a Jewish family. During the Second World War, Erik was sent to Auschwitz, a Nazi concentration camp. The current MCU taking place in 2023, it is difficult to imagine a nearly century-old Magneto taking the X-Men.
Marvel Studios will have to take steps to differentiate its X-Men incarnation from what Fox has done for most of the past two decades. Making two of the potential leaders of the color people in the franchise could be a huge step forward, while helping to advance the diversity of the MCU.
