Marvel’s Loki Series Premieres on Disney Plus on June 11

Loki, the series starring Tom Hiddleston on the evil god of Asgard, will land on Disney Plus on June 11, Marvel Studios announced today.

The series was described by Marvel Studios as a “crime thriller” in December during Disney’s Big Stream Investor Day. He follows Loki as he takes on the Time Variance Authority, otherwise known as TVA, over the events of Avengers: Endgame. The first trailer for the series also came out in December and saw Loki enter a bunch of different worlds.

Marvel Studios is in a position where there are new shows all the time. WandaVision, Marvel Studios’ first major Disney Plus show, is coming to an end. The show was incredibly successful, trending weekly on Twitter and attracting millions of followers each week in the United States alone, according to Nielsen’s notes. It will be followed by Falcon and the Winter Soldier, reuniting the characters of Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan in the events after Avengers: Endgame. This show will begin on March 19. Then, Loki and Black Widow.

With the new release date it also crashes firmly Loki month after Black Widow should hit theaters. More Marvel Studios content is also slated for Disney Plus throughout the year, including Hawk Eye and Ms. Marvel.
