Taco in a mess.
Maryland Police are looking for a driver who broke into a Taco Bell, knocking people down and shattering the glass entrance following a dispute with staff.
The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident, which occurred at one of the taco chain’s Waldorf stores on Wednesday night around 10:23 p.m., Fox 5 DC reports. Authorities said the problems started when someone in the suspect’s vehicle started an argument with an employee working behind the wheel. Then the potential customer would have exited the vehicle, assaulted the employee and re-entered the car, according to TheBayNet.com.

From there, the silver sedan headed to the front of the restaurant, where a group of people had gathered. Those on foot yelled at the car, before the driver backed up and accelerated forward, knocking people to the ground and shattering the restaurant’s glass entrance on impact.
Images of the spooky spectacle have been viewed more than 100,000 times since they hit Twitter later that night. After the accident, the driver fled the scene, reports NBC Washington.
Authorities responded to the restaurant, where two people were treated by emergency personnel and one person was hospitalized with non-fatal injuries.

Although police say they located the suspected assailant’s vehicle in a nearby house, they are still trying to identify the driver and anyone else who may have been in the car.

On Thursday, the entrance to the Waldorf Taco Bell was reportedly covered with plywood.
When contacted for comment, a rep for the restaurant shared the following statement with Fox News on Friday:
“We are shocked by this incident and are very grateful to learn that no one was seriously injured,” said a spokesperson for Taco Bell headquarters. “Our franchisee confirmed that the team members who were present are in good spirits and have access to counseling services. The restaurant team is cooperating with authorities in their investigation.”
