Master & Dynamic has announced the latest addition to its distinctive line of true wireless headphones. The new MW08 Sport noise-canceling headphones are available today for $ 349, a price increase of $ 50 over the standard MW08 headphones released earlier this year. The extra money gives you three main benefits: wireless charging, a redesigned case with a Kevlar finish, and the addition of foam tips to the box. They exist in black, white, blue or green.
Although the term ‘sport’ is associated with their name, these headphones still closely resemble the design of the MW08 – although Master & Dynamic says it uses sapphire crystal this time around instead of the ceramic of the regular MW08s. If you’ve always wanted headphones that are essentially scratch-resistant, here you go. The company claims that they are also shatterproof and ready for your most intense workouts.
The heads are rated IPX5 for water and sweat resistance, which corresponds to MW08. Instead of coming with the same shiny, instantly smudged stainless steel case as previous headphones from Master & Dynamic, these include a redesigned, woven Kevlar fiber casing. Even the case can take some of your sweat, thanks to an IPX4 rating.

The rest of the technical specifications (and sound quality) remain unchanged from the MW08; you get 10 hours of continuous listening with ANC on or 12 hours without. The charging case gives you an extra 30 hours. Master & Dynamic includes two modes each for noise cancellation and ambient sound. The star of the show remains the 11mm beryllium acoustic drivers, and like the MW08s, these headphones have Bluetooth 5.2 and external antennas for optimal wireless performance and reliability.
In addition to the normal silicone ear tips, Master & Dynamic also offers two sizes of memory foam ear tips. The company says they’re great for workouts, but I often stick with them full-time if I can’t get a perfect seal with one of the included silicone options.
