Well, if you've sat nine times, I apologize on behalf of the entire New York Mets organization. They lost by a final score of 14 to 3 on Tuesday night at Citizens Bank Park. (The score of the box)
Pitch
Steven Matz had the beginning for the Mets. He did not record any output. Unfortunately, he was not an opener either.
Andrew McCutchen reached on an error by Amed Rosario. Matz then gave a double for Jean Segura. He followed that by striking Bryce Harper. With the bases loaded and nobody outside, he gave a two-point double to J.T. Realmuto. The next hitter, Scott Kingery, hit a three point circuit.
Unfortunately, the heat was only half-finished. Cesar Hernandez walked and Aaron Altherr reached on an error. Maikel Franco then finished the Matz night with a three-point homerun. The last line of Matz was: 0+ IP, 4H, 8R (6 ER), BB, K.
Drew Gagnon entered for Matz and retired his first batter, but conceded a double to McCutchen and walked with Harper. J.T. Realmuto charged him with a two-run double (assisted by a Jeff McNeil despises).
The second run was fast 1-2-3. He even managed to reach 94 km / h on the radar gun. The third was also a 1-2-3 picture. In the fourth, he served a circuit at Realmuto to end his race to domination. Kingery got a single after that too, but Gagnon managed to get around the problem.
The fifth inning was retired in order by Gagnon. The wheels started to fall for Gagnon in the sixth inning. Well, I guess all the wheels were left from when it started.
He gave Bryce Harper a single and an error of focus by J.D. Davis exasperated the question. Scott Kingery doubled one point at home and it was the end of his night. Paul Sewald came in and left a legacy pointer that accused Gagnon with another race. His last line was: 5.1 IP, 7 H, 6 R (5 ER), BB, 5 K.
Sewald also started the seventh and eighth rounds. He participated in the second and third outings of the seventh. In the eighth, he let the first two reach but went away with a double game.
Somewhere, Tom Glavine is sitting back and smiling.
Offense
Brandon Nimmo and Pete Alonso the two arrived to begin the first but the Mets could not bring them. Nimmo left the game in the first run because of the stiffness of the neck.
Wilson Ramos hit his first shot at the Mets home on the second run. Michael Conforto Homer in the third inning too.
The Mets had their best chance of coming back in the game in the fifth. Alonso walked, Robinson Cano doubled, and Conforto walked. Ramos hit a sacrificial fly and the Mets had only one inning at the end.
Jeff McNeil went 2-for-3 in the game. J.D. Davis went 2-in-4 with a double too.
On the bridge
Zack Wheeler will try to win the series tomorrow at 13:05. against the Phillies.
