‘The Undoing’ star Matilda De Angelis shared an unfiltered look at her acne with fans, along with a few inspiring words.
The 25-year-old Italian actress spoke poetry about her skin problems in a lengthy Instagram post on Friday.
“There are things that cannot be controlled and this year has taught us well,” she began. “There are changes that we have to accept in our life and with them, the perception of ourselves and the world around us. Paradoxical things happen in life, don’t they? Well, for me being an actress and working with an acne-eaten face is part of it.
De Angelis went on to say that she often feels uncomfortable on set, forced to wear her insecurities “literally on her skin”.
“There are much bigger issues in life, I’m aware of that,” she added, “but I wanted to share this little truth maybe to feel stronger, maybe for the better. ‘accept. Our fears can cripple us or they can become a great strength, it is up to us to choose the path. And to practice so much gratitude for all the good things that happen to us and maybe even the bad ones.
