Matt Eberflus to interview Jets and Chargers after Colts game on Saturday

Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus will try to slow down the Bills on Saturday afternoon before moving on to meetings with two teams who are looking for a new head coach.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that Eberflus is ready to interview with the Jets Sunday and the Chargers Monday.

Eberflus is in his third year as defensive coordinator at Indianapolis. These are his first interviews of this cycle, but he interviewed the Browns before they hired Kevin Stefanski last year.

The Texans have also requested an interview with Eberflus, but he reportedly declined the request.

Aaron Wilson from Houston Chronicle reports that Texans are “resetTheir search for coaching after hiring general manager Nick Caserio this week. He adds that the request to interview Eberflus came before Caserio was hired. This hiring may have influenced Eberflus’ decision to focus on other opportunities this offseason.
