Linebacker Matt Milano signed a four-year contract to stay with the Bills this week and that was a bit of a surprise given the way things turned out last month.

A report released in February said Milan would enter the open market, but the linebacker told reporters on Friday he was focused on finding a way to stay where he was for the past four years.

“I just said to my agent, ‘I love Buffalo. I want to be in Buffalo. I love what they did there and see if we can make a difference, ”said Milano. “I think that’s what we did. It was sort of a good deal for both parties. The culture brewing there right now is unreal. We got a little glimpse of it last year and the past four years. This is something that I want to continue for the next four years.

Other Bills players appear to agree with Milano as tackle Daryl Williams, linebacker Andre Smith and safety Micah Hyde all signed new deals with the team ahead of the free agency start.
